✋ Group Ordering

Work on 20-25 consecutive cards at a time, depending on the number of students in your class. Provide students with a number card. Then, have them stand up and silently put themselves in numerical order.

pull 15-20 cards at random, number them in the corner of the card and hang them in order around the room. Instruct students to number a sheet of paper as a recording sheet. Assign students or pairs to a starting point card, where they’ll identify the number on the card and the numbers that come before it and after it, writing the sequence on their recording sheet in the matching space. Students will rotate to the next card when you say, “SCOOT!” Continue in this manner until students return to their starting point.
