Is your class learning about Native Americans living in different United States regions? This printable mini workbook is the perfect place to record facts and information about indigenous tribes across the United States. Students will note the types of housing they lived in, the climate, and how they used theirenvironmentto survive and meet their basic needs: food, clothing, and shelter.

Native American Tribes – Map Exercises and Guided Notes

The indigenous peoples of North America include many different tribes, each with its history and traditions. The richcultureand history contributed by the various Native American tribal regions of the country are ideas that young learners must see to appreciate. By learning about the Native Americans in the different cultural areas of North America, young students will understand more about the richhistoryand important contributions that they have made to the United States.

Students will complete the following activities for each cultural region using this book.

  • Research and note details about the environment, shelter, and clothing used by different tribes across the regions.

Thistemplatemakes for a simple book creation process. To create your mini books, print one double-sided book and keep the pages in the order they were printed. Then, copy the pages as packets.

One packet will make two books for students. Give each pair of students a packet and have them cut the pages down the center, then staple their mini-books down the left-hand side.
