Planet projects are a great way to introduce students to the太阳系. This template is sure to spark your students’ imaginations and result in a lovely display for the classroom. Students choose one of eight planets and fill in a ‘fact sheet’ describing it.

Students will research information such as:

• the general appearance of the planet
• the number of rings

• the average temperature range

• and the duration of its rotation.

Students will also get to find 3 fun facts about their planet. This information will then be used to write a paragraph about the planet.

Support Struggling Students

For students who need additional support, consider assigning a partner or completing in a 1:1 setting. Furthermore, students could only complete the fact sheet and not the writing component. Additionally, provide access to previous assignments, as well aspostersand anchor charts for students to recall past lessons.
