- Whole Group Activity– Print the prompt cards and the number line pieces on cardstock and cut them out. Tape or glue the number line together and hang it in an area where all students can reference it. Give each student a small desk-size number line or ahundreds chartto work on and a set of counters. Pick a card and read the clues to the class. Ask the students to place a counter on the corresponding number.
