A fun art activity to experiment with the use of line and pattern.

Print your chosen template for the class and cut the pieces along the dotted line. If you would like to provide students with a larger piece to draw on, photocopy the template pages onto A3 paper before cutting.
Before commencing the activity, decide on the medium of choice i.e. either all students will use marker pens or all students will use coloured pencils. No black is to be used.

Distribute a piece of the template to each student. There is a right side and a wrong side to each piece. The right side has a number written in the bottom right corner. Students turn the paper over and lightly record this number in lead pencil on the wrong side of the paper. (This is just in case the number becomes obscured by their drawing). Students then flip the piece back and begin画画their lines and patterns.
