HangerYour Positivity Posters ?
Create an eye-catching classroom display with hangers!Strong wooden hangerswith a natural round bar are perfect for displaying your positivity posters. Use the handy grooves to hang posters with shoe string straps or do what we did and use bulldog clips.
The beauty of this display idea is that you can make itinteractive。Encourage your students to hang a new poster, as and when they catch themselves putting positive words into action. This is also a great way to develop a conscious awareness of a growth mindset for kids.
It’s simple…
- Secure three or more wooden hangers to the classroom wall by using medium utility hooks.
- Download and print a collection of our resources –Positivity Postersand place them in a basket.
- Encourage your students to hang a poster that reflects how they are feeling when they have a growth mindset moment!
Clip Your Positivity Posters
Do you have students in your class that notice every little change that you make to classroom displays?
Keep your observant students on their toes by creating a growth mindset for kids classroom display by usingclipboards!
Using clipboards will give your classroom display an industrial andwork in progress feel.The great thing about this display idea is that you can chop and change the posters that you display.
Make a Flippable Key Ring
- Download and print a section of Positivity Posters (regular or reduced size). Punch a hole in the top left corner.
- Attach them to a key ring.
- Create multiple positivity keyrings for each table or class group. Or, make one larger version to be hung at the front of the classroom.
- Start each day by selecting and discussing one poster. Make this your whole class positive focus for the day!
- Refer to the positivity focus throughout the day and catch your students putting it into practice.
Create a Mobile
With less and less wall space, look up and use the hanging space you have available. We created this mobile withsticks and twineand hung it in amongst our Teach Starter family plants. To be honest, I was a bit worried about how fiddly this would be to create, but it was pretty easy. Trundle out into the beautiful sunshine, search the ground for sturdy sticks, and you’re ready to go!
If you haven’t got the time, set aSTEMchallenge for upper year students. Ask your engineers to plan, design and construct a positivity mobile that distributes weight and displays the posters effectively.
Table Reminders
Usebusiness card holdersorphoto standsto create cute table displays that remind your students to stay positive.
Encourage your students to use the mini posters as a reminder to be positive when they are feeling frustrated or challenged. Research has shown thatcollaborative and group learninghas a considerable and positive impact on student success.
With this in mind, encourage your students to pass a poster to a friend in need of support. This is a great way to encourage accountability and collaboration when nurturing a growth mindset for kids.
