A set of 32 “I Have, Who Has” game cards to practise rounding to 500 000.
Use this fun, interactive game to practise rounding whole numbers to the nearest ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand or hundred thousand.
Print out the cards on thick card and cut them out along the dotted line. Store them in a resealable bag to be used again and again, year after year.
How to Play “I Have, Who Has?”
- Use as a whole-class activity by giving each student a card and asking them to stand. The student with the card, “I have 10. Who has…” will start the game. They read their card out loud to the class. The student who has the answer will read their card out loud and sit down. The game continues until play comes back to the student who started the game with 10.
- Use as a maths groups activity by having students connect the matching cards, end to end, as you would with dominoes. When the student or pair of students has completed the activity, the top and bottom cards should connect.
