This open-endedmathematics investigationhas been designed to deepen students’ understanding ofpatterns.
In this investigation, the students have been asked to design a friendship band for a special friend. They must create a repeating pattern with coloured beads for the friendship band, using at least three colours. The students must create three different friendship band designs before deciding which one they like the best.
