We also suggest using this game to reinforce your small group and full-class lessons in the following ways:

Scavenger Hunt

Hide the number card pieces around the room when your students are not around and put the picture card in the center of the room. Then set your students loose! As soon as they find a piece, they bring it up to the object card, identify their card’s match, and place it on the mat. NOTE: You may want to make a rule of only 1 student at a card at one time. If not, things could get a little crazy!

❄️❄️ Match Me If You Can

In your guided math group, divide the number cards evenly among students. Then, randomly point to an object picture on the board and count the total as a group. The student who has the matching number card lays it down face up. The first person to have all their cards face up wins.

❄️ Upcycle into Playing Cards

Break out your scissors and cut up the board to have an equal amount of number and object cards. Students can play card games like Match It, Go Fish, or Snap!, to name a few.
